Two yeas ago, Ms Kitty and Mr Chin gave a warm welcome to my autistic daughter, without hesitation. And now, my daughter receives school education in a national-type Chinese primary school.

We had a hard time in searching of suitable kindergarten for my daughter, but TPS ended our journey, they opened a door, gave us the hope and a precious chance to my daughter.

Ms Kitty and Mr Chin, customized an education programme with their supportive team for my daughter. Under their guidance, my daughter mastered 3M within a year, and managed to do ejaan, spelling and 听写. I received valuable advice, support and direction from the team, especially Ms Kitty.

Ms Kitty, Mr Chin and the teachers are very patient, dedicated, compassionate, skilled and experienced, they care and love their students! Thank you for your dedication, highly appreciated it a lot!

TPS has been an important part of both my children’s development and our family’s journey within the TPS community in the past 7 years.

We are truly pleased and proud to see how our children have grown into confident, responsible, helpful and joyful learners. TPS does put in great effort into creating a purposeful and engaging curriculum. The wide range of activities—such as Character First lessons, field trips, project-based learning, sports events, concert experiences, and creative holiday programmes. This builds a strong foundation in our children’s values, core skills, confidence, problem solving skills etc.

The strong emphasis on holistic development, encompassing academics, values, independence, emotional well-being, and character building, has truly made a difference in shaping who they are today.

We sincerely appreciate the dedication, commitment, and passion of the teachers and the school in nurturing and guiding our children throughout these meaningful years.

Taska Precious Steps has time and time again proven to be the best kindergarten to entrust our precious children with in their crucial early growing up years.

Our journey with TPS began in 2013, when we had sent our daughter to TPS starting her education at the age of 4 years old and back then we were very happy with her steady growth and progress.

Ten years later, we are blessed with a son and for convenience we had decided to send him to a kindergarten near home, but regrettably our son did not enjoy going to school.

For a whole year, he did not make much progress, whereby he couldn’t really read, and wasn’t interested in learning or doing his school work assignments.

We were very worried as he was already 5-years-old and still couldn’t really read or even adapt to school. It was then that we decided to take a step of faith to change kindergarten and went on to a few other kindergartens nearby, but they were not interested in accepting our son.

Subsequently, we decided to reach out to TPS even though the kindergarten was far from home.

We were so happy when the principals, Ms Kitty and Uncle Chin, could still remember our daughter and expressed their warm welcome without hesitation in accepting our son. Ms Kitty and Uncle Chin clearly loves and genuinely cares for all the children who attend TPS.

Our son joined the 6-year- old class in February 2025 and at first we were really concerned if he could adapt, as the students in the TPS 6-year-old class could already read very well while our son was barely able to do so. To our wonderful surprise, we started seeing the change in our son’s attitude towards school and homework.

Within the first week, we were amazed that our son actually looked forward to going to school without resistance as he did before. When he comes home from school everyday, he would sit down and do all his homework independently before resting.

His class teachers, Ms Sorna and Ms Ning, are actually very patient and kind. The students in TPS are in fact taught to be kind, and very soon James made many new friends.

We are so grateful for the love and patience the school principals and teachers have shown to our child.
TPS truly provides a very warm and conducive environment filled with love and care to nurture and develop our child’s character. Our son has improved tremendously and is now able to read very well and had even gotten all correct for his spelling contest.

We would definitely recommend TPS to our family and friends as TPS has the best dedicated teachers caring team under the amazing leadership of very caring conscientious principals who truly care genuinely for the growth and character of each and every child.

TPS is so much more than just a kindergarten. At TPS, the children are really loved and cared for and each child is able to achieve his or her full potential with the love and encouragement from kind, understanding teachers and principals.

Looking back in hindsight, the decision to change our son’s kindergarten to TPS is truly the best decision we have made for him as within such a short time we can see the tremendous impact, difference and transformation in our son.

A paediatrician once told us that the first 7 years of a child’s life is vital for his development, as they develop the foundation of his character for his future within that period of time. Bearing that in mind, TPS is truly the right place to be, whenever you are faced with an important decision as to the choice of kindergarten for the precious child in your life.

Our 4 yo daughter attended Taska Precious Steps full time for 2 months, while we were visiting from the US to spend time with family. She has learned more in these 2 months than in the 2 previous years at her San Francisco private preschool. Not only did her reading, writing and math skills rocket but she learned so much about plants and about Malaysian culture. She still remembers the Chinese and Malay songs she learned at Precious Steps! After we returned to San Francisco she quickly became top of her new TK class. Most importantly, she was happy and excited to learn at Precious Steps. The team made her feel supported and loved and helped her adjust to all the changes in her school routine (schedule, rigor, new friends, new language, even the heat!). I wholeheartedly recommend Taska Precious Steps to anyone looking for a rigorous but caring and supportive education for their preschoolers. I wish I could import them to the US!

Character first - two words that emphatically sum up the mission and values of TPS - and for which our family will always be grateful.

Our journey with TPS began in 2013, when our eldest son was just 2 1/2 years old. We immediately felt safe leaving our child in their hands - an intuition proved right by the loving care both we and our children would receive from Kitty, Chin and their team of dedicated teachers over the years that followed. At TPS, we were part of a big family - one that would pay for our child to attend a school field trip when we were financially tight, provide materials for his primary school performance and take time out to attend it, and extend personal invitations to family outings, long after our kids had graduated from TPS.

Since then all three of our children have passed through the doors of TPS. By nature timid and shy, they have emerged as strong, capable and confident young people. Today, all three hold positions of leadership in their schools - class monitors and society presidents - and are consistently praised by schoolteachers and church leaders alike for their kindness, helpfulness, maturity, and responsibility.

This has not come at the expense of academics - our eldest son now studies in one of the most prestigious Chinese independent high schools in KL, having been in the top class all through his years at one of the largest, most competitive Chinese primary schools in Selangor. Our daughter came home with her first trophy after just three months at the same primary school and finished the year among the top of her class.

What about kids who aren't so academically gifted? Our younger son struggles more with learning than his peers. It was Kitty and his other teachers who noticed his difficulties very early on and arranged to have him assessed in-house by a child educational psychologist, setting us on a journey that led to his diagnosis of ADHD and its subsequent management. Today, he is in his final year at the same Chinese primary school as his siblings, well-liked and receiving his own share of leadership responsibilities and awards - having not just survived, but thrived in an environment where many so-called 'normal' students have failed.

If you're looking for a low-cost kindergarten that force-feeds their students copious amounts of information (as many do, often in the name of "preparing them for Chinese school"), look elsewhere. You will not find it here.

If, on the other hand, you're looking for a place that will help your children grow into their full potential; where they are nurtured and encouraged by love, not fear; and where they will develop the necessary character and skills to succeed in school and in life - the independence to handle their own work, the ability and willingness to take on responsibility, the empathy that makes them care for others, the courage to face new challenges, the determination to persevere when the going gets tough, and the strength to get up when they fail - then look no further. You won't find much better than TPS.

Years ago, we were advised that we were "wasting money" on kindergarten fees when there were cheaper options around. Today, I believe our choice has been vindicated, as these same 'advisors' wonder at our children's character and achievements. Ten years and three children later, we have absolutely no regrets.
